The purpose of Chess Teacher Lessons is to make free chess instructions and exercises available to improve your chess skills. The lessons may also be usefull for Chess Teachers.

After giving chess lessons for a rather long time we have a lot of chess material available, but it has to be adapted for publication on the internet.

Because of the specific needs for this blogsite we will also write some WordPress Plugins to create chess diagrams and to make it possible to replay some chess games.

At the moment there are more than 100 chess lessons on almost all the stages of the game and for all levels of play on Chess Teacher Lessons. You can get a quick overview by looking at the chess lessons index page, but you can also navigate through this site by using the tags or categories or by using the search option on this site.

  1. Dear Chess Teacher

Thank you for your message on my web board. The SCID page has links to both ChessDB and the updated version of SCID. SCID seems the more appropriate name for the page on the menu.

    Your blog looks very interesting!

    kind regards

    ZF

  2. I see you wrote a plugin using palview, any chance you might release the plugin?

    Just thought I would ask.

  3. I am planning to release the plugins I’ve written, but it will take some time before this one is ready for a release.

But this reminds me that I still have to release the Show-fen plugin.

  4. How about using my Chessgenie for generating chess diagram and viewing PGN games. It’s a free for selected site.

  5. I prefer to add the diagrams without the need for copying and pasting code.
Furthermore I like to have selectable moves from the games (and the variations) within the text of the article itself and I also need something to add puzzles and problems (with the solution revealed after some attempts.)

  6. I’d love to see you post some of these games and articles on Chess.com! We have the very tools you are looking for – the ability to add puzzles easily!

We also launched our Free Online Chess School http://www.ChessZone.org

Please consider adding a link to us :)
    Take care

  8. We started the ChessWiki Project – http://wiki.chessfish.com/
It is still under construction. Now we have to choose the ways of showing diagrams, replaying games etc. The project is multilingual.

Some of us may work together in the near future… :-)
    Best wishes

  9. Hi! I’m Claudio Reggiani,
webmaster / administrator of http://www.giocareascacchi.it/ an Italian chess website.

I read your lessons, and I wonder if I can translate them in Italian, and put them on my website. If you allow me to do that, I’ll add your link in my home page. Please send me an email.

    Regards,
    Claudio Reggiani

  10. Love the site. I will be adding a post to our blog http://www.chess-coach.net

No need to recreate the wheel. Good job.
